CS professor Crandall featured in net neutrality news segment
December 5, 2017
UNM Computer Science Professor Jed Crandall was featured in a recent news story about net neutrality. Crandall explained what the cost to consumers could be if net neutrality is repealed.
Current FCC Chair Ajit Pai said he will repeal net neutrality provisions and reclassify broadband providers from “common carriers” to “information services.” This move would take away any oversight authority the FCC has over internet providers. The FCC is set to vote on the order on Dec. 14.
