Mr. Emerson joined ARES in 1997 and currently is the President of ARES' Space & Defense Division, which encompasses clients throughout NASA, MDA, DARPA and AFRL. The Division also supports Commercial Space providers.
He has held various technical and Corporate leadership positions throughout his tenure at ARES while also continuing to provide technical analysis and consulting support to ARES' client In the aerospace, defense, and energy industries.
For five years, Mr. Emerson was also active in the venture capital community performing due diligence of and making equity investments in high-potential companies and providing expert managerial advice and assistance to entrepreneurs to help them create scalable businesses.
He has a Master's Degree In Nuclear Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico.
